Color is becoming increasingly popular in bridal as designers cater to brides’ desire to break tradition and be themselves. While blushes and pinks have been popping up in bridal collections for a few years now, one color that is really seeing a big surge in popularity is blue! Hey, it’s perfect! If you’re gonna do the whole “Something Old, Something New” thing, why not make your “Something Blue” your wedding dress!?
Would you wear blue for your walk down the aisle? Or is there another color you would opt for over traditional tones?
Holy Glamour! That’s all I’ve been able to think since the Golden Globe Red Carpet aired last night. While the Red Carpet is admittedly my favorite part of any good award show (especially the Golden Globes), I was even more impressed with this group of gowns than I have been in a long time. And as I watched the parade of gorgeous women with sparkling, plunging or brightly colored gowns, I couldn’t help but think that so many of the looks from the Red Carpet could easily (and glamorously) translate to the aisle!
Reese Witherspoon, Calvin Klein
Salma Hayek, Alexander McQueen
Julianne Moore, Givenchy
Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Carolina Herrera
Rosamund Pike, Vera Wang
Ellie Kemper, Naeem Khan
Lupita Nyong’o, Giambattista Valli
Kate Hudson, Versace
Diane Kruger, Emilia Wickstead
And two of my personal favorites from last night’s fab looks…
Sienna Miller, Miu Miu
Dakota Johnson, Chanel Haute Couture
(I am honestly saving this picture so that I can refer to it for inspiration when creating my own bridal look)
What did you think of the Golden Globes? Did you have a favorite look from the night? Were there any dresses you would take from the Red Carpet to down the aisle
